Circus Training with Bear Faced Cheek!

The Secret is Out!

Since October 2007, Kevin has been running "The Secret Circus", a circus training project, funded by Northamptonshire County Council Extended Services.

The project has enabled young people of ages 12-15 to learn such skills as juggling, unicycling, tightrope-walking and trapeze, while also learning a great deal about themselves and what they are capable of.

As Kevin says “ this has been a great opportunity for these young people to really work at these skills and rise to the challenge. Their confidence has grown enormously throughout the project, and they have worked incredibly hard. I am very proud of each and every one of them.”

The youngsters have run circus workshops at the Northampton Balloon Festival and the Carnival, as well as stiltwalking in the carnival parade and appearing at the Derngate Theatre with members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Kevin  and his team have run circus workshops all over the country for  more than 15 years, offering training in the basics of juggling, plate-spinning, Diabolo, Poi, devil stick, roller boller and stilts, through to the more advanced tight wire, walking globe, unicycle, trapeze, silks, and corde lisse.
